ME music on all of the games has been consistently on point.
As is tradition, whenever I see anything involving Mass Effect, I will now go home and start the trilogy (they only ever made 3, you know) from the beginning!
EDIT: Now that I think about it, that would be a tremendous way to spend a quarantine. Sadly, I am at work, and it looks like I will be for the foreseeable future.

Erin Horner can blow a mean French Horn.
Andromeda is the only ME game I’ve played. And I liked it.

Unpopular opinion: ME:A was better than ME:2. Not that it didn’t have a great many flaws, but at least it didn’t railroad me into working for a bunch of traitors with all the ethics of U nit 731 without even bothering to handwave an explanation as to why I shouldn’t put a bullet in Miranda’s head and turn Jacob over to Alliance Intelligence as soon as I have the Normandy.

I played ME:A last year, after having put it down a few weeks into it’s release.
As stated, the music was great. Combat was spot on.
Some
of the companions were good; for me I primarily ran with Drak, Jaal and Vetra. Suvi was cute and my go to romance.
But the villain was bland, the story was only ok, and WE NEVER GOT THE QUARIAN ARC.

Same here, never got into the first 3. Thought it was a good game. Some what tedious with tasks but not bad and fun to explore

I played it. It just sorta... ended? And that’s it. Nothing really happened.

I dunno, I mean Cerberus was evil as fuck and the Illusive Man is probably one of the biggest villains in game history, but I see it sort of like allying with Stalin to stop the Nazis. Shepherd needed the resources to try to stop the Reapers. Even before the whole “suffocating, burning up, crashing into a planet, and being rebuilt from burnt taint tissue” problem he wasn’t making any progress getting help from the Alliance or Citadel Nations. Jacob may be the most decent hearted person in the entire trilogy, and Miranda transformed over time. Like how Ashley started out as a space racist or Jack started as an ice cold murderbitch. Not to mention the Alliance probably wouldn’t have trusted Shepherd at that point even if he did try to turn everyone over, since for all they know he was a clone or AI under Cerberus control. Plus, while the game doesn’t allow you to ditch Cerberus/rat them out to the Alliance/etc it does let you be a constant massive pain in the ass for the Illusive Man.
If nothing else I need to love ME2 for the characters it introduced. Grunt, Mordin, Jack, Legion, Thane, Kasumi (if you get the DLC), even the Illusive Man, as despicable as he is, is brilliantly written and acted IMO. Plus you can finally romance Tali, and that makes it a win on its own.

I think Andromeda is a decently good game if you didn’t play the trilogy first, or if you act like it isn’t part of the same universe. It’s just that the trilogy went full Barry Bonds, so Andromeda’s solid triple just sorta pales in comparison.

I guess it’s similar to Dark Souls 2 or Fallout 4. On their own, very solid. In context to the series, they don’t ascend to the level that the hardcore fans wanted to see.
